🪆 Fuji Xf 50Mm F2 Review
Comparing the lenses at their minimum apertures (F1 vs F1.2), the 56mm F1.2 quickly jumps out as sharper. The 50mm F1 although plenty sharp for most uses, suffers mightily compared to the 56mm F1.2 WR. At F1.4, the 56mm is still sharper. However, by F2, the 50mm F1 is starting to catch up.
Fuji XF 90mm f/2 vs. XF 50mm f/1 R WR The new XF 50mm f/1 R WR has also caught my attention and promises excellent bokeh with an ultra-narrow depth of field if you shoot at f/1. At $1,499.00 it is considerably more than the XF 90mm f/2 listed at $949.00 (latest price check, April 2023).
They are indeed sticking to F/1, but the focal length has been extended from 33mm to 50mm. There are exactly two reasons for this; size, and weight. When Fuji announced the XF 33mm F1 WR, I envisioned a lens about the size and weight of the XF 56mm F1.2. Early mockups of the XF 33mm F1 WR were already much larger, in around XF 90mm F2 WR
This review only discusses the Fujifilm’s XF 56mm f/1.2 R lens. The XF 56mm f/1.2 R is solidly built and felt great attached to my Fuji X-T2. It is super sharp, even wide open, and exhibits beautifully dreamy bokeh. As is the case with any ultra-fast prime, it takes time to get used to this lens. You must be very careful with your technique.
It’s a fantastic lens but it’s much larger and heavier. The dimensions are / 83.3 x 106mm/3.28 x 4.17 in. with the weight being 1.44 lb / 655 g. It also uses a larger 77mm filter. The Sigma loses a little range when compared to the XF 16-55mm but it’s about the same size as Fujifilm’s compact kit lens, the XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 R LM OIS lens.
Electronic manual focus system. The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro ($649.95) covers a short telephoto field of view and is capable of focusing close enough to reproduce objects with 1:2

85%. Overall score. Jump to conclusion. The Fujifilm X-E4 is a lightweight, rangefinder-styled camera built around a 26MP APS-C sized sensor that uses the company's X-mount lineup of lenses. Billed as a fun-to-use and compact photographic companion, the X-E4 is the smallest X-mount camera on the market, encouraging you to keep it around
Bokeh is nice and smooth when shooting wide-open at f/2 and remains so when stopping down a little, while in-focus areas have excellent sharpness and clarity. There’s very good resistance to ghosting and flare and, typical of most Fujifilm ‘XF’ lenses, overall performance is highly impressive.
Step-Up Filter Adapters: These adapters allow you to use a filter with a larger diameter than the lens’s thread size. For example, if you have a lens with a 52mm thread and a filter of 58mm diameter, a 52-58mm step-up adapter would enable you to attach the filter to the lens. The adapter screws onto the lens’s thread and provides a larger
The new XF 50mm F1.0 R WR mounted to the Fujifilm X-T4 alongside the XF 56mm F1.2 R. When Fujifilm announced they were developing a 33mm F1.0 lens with autofocus in 2018 it briefly caught my attention before I dismissed its 50mm equivalent focal length as too wide for my work and its weight (all 1300g of it) too cumbersome.

The XF 90mm f/2 is the highest performing lens I have ever mounted onto my X-series cameras. I beats all previous XF series lenses in just about every image quality aspect. Its the royal deluxe model of a portrait lens, and if you are a portrait or fashion photographer using the Fujifilm X-series you cannot pass this lens up.
The XF 50mm f1.0 is also a WR lens, which means it’s dust and weather sealed. In fact, like all weather-resistant XF lenses, the XF 50mm f1.0 is sealed in 11 areas against dust and moisture. The XF 50mm f1.0 is also capable of being used in temperatures as low as 14ºF (-10ºC). This lens isn’t cheap; the list is currently $1,499 but at
